The Certified in Service Management Foundation (CSMF) designation is earned following the successful completion of the a demanding curriculum and standards based examination. The CSMF for IT Professionals (ITSM Foundation) credential validates an individual's comprehensive understanding of the thirty eight competencies and seven major domains within the IT service management body of knowledge (ITSM).
Duration: three days.
Audience: Individual professionals directly involved in the design, development, deployment and operation of a service management strategy.
Scope: The objectives, concepts, major activities and key artifacts of seven major job roles and thirty-eight competencies required within a service provider organization.
Examination: Optional, two-hour, multiple-choice.
Prerequisites: None.
This class is ideal for individuals working within a service provider organization and requiring foundational knowledge of the key elements of a service management framework as used within an information technology organization providing information system services to customer communities.
This credential is an important element of the only service management specific personal accreditation certificate program approved as a preliminary applicant for accreditation by the American National Standards Institute® (ANSI).
The class is delivered under license by ITSMI as a an authorized Registered Education Provider (REP), a program managed by the Service Management Institute. The content of the class includes:
